Employment has long been marketed as the primary purpose of a human's existence.

It is, after all, how nations maximise the collective economic contribution of their citizens.

But this, of course, is not the message communicated to the masses.

Instead, employment is sold as an endeavour of principal benefit to you, the individual. For it is the surest and easiest way to earn an income and acquire the things you want and need.

This may be true. But is the promise of regular paycheques worth such major sacrifices?

  • Is it worth spending a sizeable chunk of your one and only life doing things you'd rather not do?

  • Is it worth trading your hopes and dreams for boring and meaningless work that pays you a fraction of your true value?

  • Is it worth suppressing your greatness, limiting your potential, and never knowing how it feels to be the fullest and most powerful expression of you?

If you believe, as I do, that nothing is worth such sacrifices, then you, my friend, were born to work for yourself.

Indeed, this is the only way I know to have complete control over the composition of your present and the trajectory of your future.

It is the only way I know to save yourself from mediocrity, despair, and regret—and live instead a life of freedom, fulfillment, and fun.

If this is an idea that excites you, I've written something you might find valuable.
